Kaitlyn Briggs

Kaitlyn Briggs is a 20 year old bluegrass mandolin player from central Iowa. Kaitlyn has always loved music. She started out playing piano at 5 years old, and began playing mandolin when she was 9. Since then, she has started learning to play guitar, bass, banjo, and percussion. Kaitlyn loves listening to and playing many different genres of music, including bluegrass, country, rock, blues, jazz, surf, and spaghetti western theme songs. She has played mandolin for her family's bluegrass band, the Briggs Family Band, since 2013, and loves to jam. Some of Kaitlyn's favorite mandolin heroes are Sam Bush, Sierra Hull, Adam Steffey, David Grisman, David Benedict, and Chris Thile. Kaitlyn gives private mandolin and guitar lessons for beginner to intermediate players.
